Brief
Our client is carrying out a full refurbishment of their house and wanted to incorporate multi-room audio together with a high-end cinema in their Lounge.
The client visited us here at the Barn for a demonstration in our Cinema Room to get a feel of what could be achieved in their home. The client was amazed by the performance of our cinema system and we were very quickly commissioned to get underway with the design work.
System Design
The Cinema Room is using a 7.1 system, with in-wall Perlisten front channels, in-ceiling Perlisten surround channels and a free-standing Perlisten subwoofer. The AV Processor, amplifiers and source will be located in the AV Rack. Visuals will be provided by one of JVC’s latest generation projectors and an OLED TV. Operation of the cinema and lighting will be provided by a fully integrated Control4 system, which we will programme to suit the clients requirements.
The multi-room audio consists of independent zones, each with their own in-ceiling and in-wall speakers, together with the ability to play the same music throughout the house as grouped zones (party-mode) or each zone to play to different music and independent volume levels. Operation of the multi-room audio system is by using the best in class Roon control app via high performance Lyngdorf streaming amplifiers.
Installation
The project is currently at ‘First Fix’ stage, where the cable and power infrastructure is being installed within the walls and ceilings, so to achieve a seamless completed project with all cabling hidden.
