Vertere Turntables Open Day at The Audiobarn

Thank you to everyone who visited our Vertere turntable event last weekend, it was great to see some vinyl enthusiasts and music lovers alike. The Kudos Titan 808’s were singing on the end of the CH Precision i1 amplifier thanks to some seriously impressive record spinners courtesy of Vertere Acoustics.

The structured event was a really successful way to showcase the exhaustive upgrade path Vertere have carved out thanks to Touraj’s generous approach to mechanical design. The HB cables were greatly received and left everyone wondering how the Phono-1 could be improved so drastically – it’s a £1350 phonostage with a power cable costing over £2k (and rightly so!)

For us and many of the visitors judging by the feedback, the absolute star of the show was the Imperium motor drive (PSU). The Tempo is no slouch (as it’s name suggests) but the Imperium provided more drive, more drama and yet somehow became even more silent, more refined, a whole new layer of polish if you will.

Big thanks to Touraj and Mike Burn of Vertere, it’s our first event with Mike and I have to say bravo to him for getting the balance of talk vs music just right (a fine artform). Touraj was his usual warm self full of amusing anecdotes, useful tips and plenty of tech talk for anyone with a curious mind capable of understanding (“I’m out!”).

Please see the Vertere turntable images of the event spread over two days with some great music including Bohemian Rhapsody courtesy of a special Acetate pressing which I almost refused to listen to… I was wrong to hesitate, as the old saying goes “I have never heard it like that before!”
