By simply filling out our Enquiry Form, we can start developing your project costs for you, giving you a cost range to choose from. Once we have established your budget for the project, we then move on to the exciting design stage.
This is where our extensive experience becomes essential to your project. We will specify every single piece of kit for you, so no need to worry about making technical decisions – unless you want to that is!
As a starting point, with a budget of £5,000 we can specify you a very entertaining system for your living room – as you would imagine, with a budget of £20,000 / £40,000 / £60,000 / £100,000+ the performance and enjoyment from your cinema system will grow and become more and more breath-taking.
YES – we have a large range of equipment available, we can specify a system for anything from a converted garage to a lounge to a full 30 seat dedicated cinema room.
To achieve a Dolby specification, a minimum of 5 speakers and a subwoofer are required, this is known as a 5.1 system. As the room size for the system increases, so does the number of speakers and subwoofers – there is also significant performance uplift in additional speakers being added, to give further immersion into the movie / TV / video game. We will always make a recommendation for the number of speakers for your system.
Not necessarily, but Dolby Atmos is the latest surround sound format – the ‘Atmos’ speakers are mounted in ceiling and create greater immersion into the soundtrack. A properly designed an installed 5.1 setup can be quite exceptional in it’s own right.
Only if you want to see them! We can design a system based around traditional freestanding speakers, in-wall / in-ceiling speakers with discrete metal grilles or fully concealed speakers that are hidden behind high end stretched fabric wall panelling and the projection screen itself – a fully concealed speaker system adds to the in-room cinema experience and also is a great option for multi-use room, where it’s not a dedicated cinema space.
Projectors nowadays perform very well in ambient lit rooms and we also have projectors that are purposely designed to work in a ‘normally lit’ environment. For a full-on cinema experience, you are most likely going to want to enjoy it in a darkened room, which we can easily achieve for you with motorised black-out blinds.
For the ultimate cinematic experience, we would always recommend a projector – the experience of watching a movie / watching TV / playing video games on a projector is quite simply amazing. Typically our clients that have their cinema system in their Living Room, also have a TV and the projection screen is hidden in the ceiling and drops down for movie night!
YES – around 50% of our projects are in the Client’s Living Room. A drop down projection screen and discrete in-wall / in-ceiling speakers give you the option on transforming your Living Room into a Cinema Room at the touch of a button.
YES – The key is designing the cinema system to suit the room and it’s day to day use, to give our Clients exactly what they need. As part of our design workshops with the Clients, we discuss ways to achieve their bespoke solution.
There’s no need for a Client to get a builder for projects unless they are looking to remodel the home.
NO – we are brought into projects at various different stages. Our detailed design is based around incorporating into your project at whichever stage it is at.
On projects with a builder / Interior Designer already on-board, we work closely with the project team to ensure that the cinema system installation is fully co-ordinated with other works and the design of the house.
YES – we can install fully controlled lighting or create an interface if there is an existing lighting system. Lighting control can be incorporated in our Control4 system, so that one tap on the touchscreen controller can turn the lighting down, turn on the cinema equipment and shut the blinds.
YES – we can design your system so that incorporates your existing speakers.
